Charles Tully

At LPC, Charles focuses primarily on due diligence for prospective deals and oversight of portfolio companies, including financial analysis & reporting. He also currently serves as CFO of Smede-Son Steel & Supply, an LPC portfolio company, where he leads accounting, finance & strategy.

Charles brings a diverse mix of experience, having worked across operational finance, FP&A, private equity, assurance, and financial due diligence. These experiences have given him a broad set of skills and perspectives to draw from with the many stakeholders in a prospective deal or existing portfolio company.

Charles’s experience in private equity began at Strength Capital Partners, a lower middle market firm. Before that, he spent several years in public accounting providing assurance and financial due diligence services to clients in Metro Detroit, first at PwC, then at a regional middle-market firm.

Charles holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and is a registered Certified Public Accountant. He and his wife Hannah live in Southfield, MI with their three children. He enjoys summer camping in their family RV, Florida trips in the winter, exercising, and trying to squeeze in a few rounds of golf each year.
